Photos -day 1 & 2

Jackie made a friend during the movie- how sweet!
Here are some photos but I need to step up my game and get more.  I will try to get someone else to share some of their photos later this morning- sorry!

Thursday- We went to visit "Rony's kids" which is a foster care type of ministry here in Carrefour with 16 children placed in homes or with their biological families but financially in need of assistance.  Rony (one of our translators for four years) runs the program and meets regularly with the children to encourage and teach them.  We did a Bible lesson and sang songs in Creole with them.  (Josh led with his guitar), then in the afternoon we walked around the community, met people and prayed with them.  It was great to listen to debrief and hear how God led each group to the people He wanted them to meet/talk to/pray with.

Friday-  We went to Life is Wealth Orphanage in Port au Prince.  In the morning we played with the children and in the afternoon showed a movie ("Frozen").  After the movie two people from the team shared about finding your worth in Christ, not others and how valuable these girls are to God.  They were quiet and didn't participate much, but later will think upon these lessons I am sure.  We also got to worship with them and then let them use the guitars for a little worship time for themselves.  When we got home, some of the team was invited into the neighbor's home to watch soccer with the locals.  During half time or after the game they got to talk to the neighbors and find out a little about where they stood with Jesus. More relationship building!  GREAT times already.

Faseline and Rosemene at Life is Wealth Orphanage- playing guitar and singing... (this guitar was donated and shipped on the bus- thank you!)

Rony's kids-  listening to the lesson about Moses as some of the children acted it out.

Singing worship songs at Life is Wealth-  IN CREOLE!

Watching the movie, "Frozen" with the orphans (note Malik and Robinson in the foreground-  he needs positive male role models because he is one of three small boys at the orphanage with over 60 girls)

More from watching the movie- they loved it.
