Rest in Peace

Last night we received word that Pastor Yves has passed on to be with his Lord.  His body is finally at rest and his soul at peace, I am sure.  Though we all long for the day when we see our Savior face to face, many wonder how those final moments here on earth will be.  His were very peaceful and for that we are thankful.

Of course his family, extended family, friends and community will mourn.  They will miss him greatly.  He was the pillar, the father, the husband, the glue that bound them all together and the example of Christ to many within his congregation.  His heart for the orphans in his care (and even those he couldn’t take in) was always obvious.  I personally witnessed so many tender moments between him and the children.  He knew them all by name- just like his heavenly Father knew his name.  His Father has called.  He has answered.  He is HOME for good.

Please continue to pray for the family, the orphans, his friends,  the church, the school children, the community, and all those he reached in his time on earth who are grieving.  Funeral arrangements are being organized.  Medical bills still need to be paid. Decisions still need to be made about the future.  There are many difficult days ahead.  THANK YOU for your prayers so far.  THANK YOU for loving this man and his family along with us.  We will keep you posted on needs.

For now if anyone would like to help with expenses, please donate via the website and mark it for Pastor Yves.  We will see that it gets to the family.  Thank you.  (www.heartsunitedwithhaiti.org  or mail checks to Hearts United with Haiti, PO Box 55, Morgantown, PA 19543)
