Update

The past week has been filled with ministry planning for our December mission team, visiting the young women in Mirebalais who make the bracelets (taking some food for their families as a special blessing, catching up, buying more bracelets and paying for thise sold, etc), and doing paperwork at the base. English classes are coming to an end and the students report that they have enjoyed the classes and learned from them. We are already starting enrollment for our next session.

This week we will head to Life is Wealth, take Nadege for her bloodwork and to get her NIF (similar to our social security card), and we will meet with some other former orphans to see how they are doing since leaving Life is Wealth. We also hope to meet with the Nannies to give their Christmas bonus and finish Christmas shopping for the orphans.

Though the days are full and we may not update regularly, ministry is going well and we feel your prayers. Dec 11th  I will head to Chaveneau for five days while Redgi comes back to do his regular work. We will take another food delivery and some little trees that were purchased for the people there- to replace ones they lost (thanks to a man who donated over 100 of them). We also hope to buy mattresses for some of our families we have committed to helping. We are STILL waiting to hear when the repairs to the water system will occur. Living Waters has done the work on many other systems in the area and they assure us Chaveneau is in the next group and should be done "soon". We all know a Haitian "soon" is very different than a foreign one. In the meantime, they use water purification tablets.

Here are a few photos from our visit to Mirebalais last week. Enjoy!
