Sorry I am the one updating again. I am hoping I can get the team to sit long enough tonight to have them update too, but for now let me say that they are amazing and we are having a GREAT trip! The translators are exhausted though cause they have been working a LOT. Both guys are great and not minding the extra work since they are doing this for God as much as we are. Praise Him for these Godly men He has sent to help us and help further His Kingdom.
Right now the team is split- some at church (singing worship songs right now- sounds so pretty) and others across the street watching a soccer game that is INTENSE from what I can see here. So far we have done three lessons with the children, played games, gone on prayer walks, swam in the river, ate some amazing food, slept on the roof or in the school rooms, cleaned/sorted luggage, etc... The team is getting along well and having so much fun together- already making inside jokes.
Please pray for Pastor Cornet and his family as we received word today that his house completely burned today. We don't know details but there are already photos on facebook. SO SAD but praise God they all got out safely and were not affected by the smoke damage and all. From what we hear they lost a lot of posessions- things they were JUST starting to accumulate since rebuilding after the eathquake. WOW! (Pastor Cornet is the head pastor we work with in Carrefour- the church in Chaveneau is a satelite from his church)
